All Saints’ Day and All Souls’ Day Project – Coming Up This Week!!

Hello CCD Parents!

I wanted to touch base and apologize for class being cancelled last week.  My husband got injured earlier in the day at work, so I was taking care of him.  I believe the CCD director was able to get in touch with most of you, and inform you of the project we will be doing in class next week, as well as what the children will need to do to prep for it.  Just to cover my bases, and make sure everyone gets the same information, I am going to provide you the info again (and this will be for this Wednesday’s class):

All Saints’ Day and All Souls’ Day Project

Next week (Wednesday, October 22, 2014) we will be having a lesson on All Saints’ Day and All Souls’ Day. I will need you to do some work at home and bring it with you next class for this project.

Step One: Pick someone you know who has passed away, or if you are fortunate not to know anyone who has passed away, pick a historical figure that is important to you. Bring a picture of them with you next week that you can use in a craft.

Step Two: Pick out a saint that reminds you of the person you picked out.

Step Three: Write out a small report (doesn’t have to be anymore than half a page to a page long) answering the following questions that you will share with the class:

  • Who is the person you picked you?
  • Tell us a little about them? Why they are important to you?
  • What saint did you pick out?
  • Tell us a little about the life of the saint you picked out?
  • Why does this saint remind you of the person you picked out?

I look forward to seeing what everyone brings to class next week and incorporate it into out lesson/project/craft!

Thank you,

Ms. Anie
